Oege Dijk

Oege Dijk is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in AI engineering, data science, and behavioral finance. Currently serving as Lead AI Engineer at Marcura since March 2025, Oege focuses on developing and productionizing AI products for maritime logistics. Prior to this, Oege led AI development at The Shipping Collective from October 2024 to March 2025. Previous roles include Lead Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Thoughtworks, and Data Scientist at UWV and Sam Media. Oege's academic background includes a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute, along with a track record of research and teaching in behavioral finance across various prestigious institutions.
