Cody Young

Cody Young has a diverse range of work experience spanning several companies and roles. Cody began their career as an intern at DriveTime in 2011, where they conducted analysis on regulatory changes in the auto retail and finance markets. During this time, they also researched and produced documentation on state level laws governing employer-employee relations.

In 2013, Cody interned at Carvana, where they focused on analytics and assisted in the construction and implementation of reporting tools to analyze customer activity and sales patterns on the Carvana retail website. Cody also collaborated on the creation of provisional patent applications.

In 2014, Cody joined The Brattle Group as a Research Analyst, working on project teams to conduct economic and financial analyses for complex commercial disputes or transactions. This involved research, financial statement analysis, statistical analysis, and valuation. Cody also prepared written materials to present complex concepts to general audiences.

Cody's most recent position was at Marcus & Millichap, where they held multiple roles starting in 2017. As a Research Analyst, they researched and wrote about the impact of current economic trends on commercial real estate properties across the United States. Cody covered various markets and property types, including apartments, hotels, offices, and retail spaces. Cody then advanced to the role of Senior Market Analyst and Editor, where they were responsible for informing investors about economic trends affecting commercial real estate performance. Currently, they serve as a Research Publication Manager, overseeing the production of research reports for the firm across the U.S., engaging in production planning, editing, writing, data analysis, and novel research.
