Marcus Samuelsson Group
Marcus Samuelsson is an award-winning chef and cookbook author, recognized for founding the Marcus Samuelsson Group in 2010, which focuses on exceptional culinary experiences that celebrate food, music, history, culture, and art. As the Chef and Owner of Red Rooster in Harlem, Marcus Samuelsson highlights American cuisine and the neighborhood's diverse culinary traditions. In addition, Marcus Samuelsson co-founded the Harlem EatUp! Festival in 2015, a week-long celebration of Harlem's culture and flavors. Since January 2018, Marcus Samuelsson has served as a partner at Streetbird Express in Madison Square Garden, specializing in chicken dishes. Previously, from 1994 to 2009, Marcus Samuelsson served as the Executive Chef at Aquavit, a pioneering modern Nordic restaurant. Marcus Samuelsson studied at the Culinary Institute of Göteborg.
