Navid Belvasi

Marie Curie Fellow / Phd Candidate at MaREI

Navid Belvasi is a Marie Curie Fellow and PhD Candidate at MaREI, specializing in floating offshore wind technology since October 2020. Responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary research and industry teams and conducting tank testing experiments to evaluate floating offshore wind platforms. In September to December 2021, Navid served as a Visiting Researcher at Ecole Centrale de Nantes, where experiments were conducted using stereoscopic particle image velocimetry (S-PIV) to analyze flow characteristics around floating wind turbines in a wind tunnel. Navid holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering focused on floating offshore wind turbines from University College Cork, a Master of Science in Naval Architectural Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architectural Engineering from KMSU University.
