Carolyn Law has extensive work experience in the field of communications and education. Carolyn started their career in 1993 at The Field School, where they held various roles such as Teacher, English Department Chair, and Dean of Faculty. In these positions, they focused on teacher development, diversity, equity, and inclusion. From 2004 to 2008, they served as the Dean of Faculty. Carolyn also worked as a Middle and Upper School Teacher, teaching English, Art, and Journalism. Additionally, they were responsible for overseeing The Writing Center and mentoring other teachers. In 2008, Law joined the District of Columbia Arts Center (DCAC) as a Program Manager, where they stayed until 2020. Carolyn then moved on to Lowell School as the Director of Communications, a role they held until 2020. Currently, Law works as the Director of Communications at Maret School, joining in 2020.
Carolyn Law completed their education at the Rhode Island School of Design from 1990 to 1993, earning a BFA in Graphic Design. Prior to that, they attended Vassar College from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a BA in English.
