Imtiaz Qavi

Imtiaz Qavi is currently an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Marian University Indianapolis, having commenced this position in August 2025. Prior to this role, Imtiaz served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas Tech University from August 2020 to August 2025 and at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from August 2018 to July 2020, where research focused on spray characteristics of various aviation fuels. Additional research experience includes a position at Baylor University in late 2019. Imtiaz's professional background also encompasses an engineering role at Energypac Engineering from February 2017 to August 2018, concentrating on design and manufacturing in switchgear and busbar production. Education includes a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from Texas Tech University, a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology.
