Kelly Taft, APR, currently serves as Communication Director for the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) since July 1998, leading the strategic communication efforts for one of the largest metropolitan planning organizations in the United States. Previous experience includes serving as Communications Manager for the Make A Wish Foundation of America, where responsibilities spanned national publicity and crisis communication for 82 chapters. Prior to that, Kelly worked as an Anchor/Reporter at KPHO-TV 5 CBS and KYEL-TV 13 NBC, specializing in crime, courts, and breaking news, along with earlier experience as an Associate Producer at KTVK-TV 3 ABC. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Broadcast Journalism from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
