District Director Of Healthcare Education at Maricopa County Community College District

Rochelle Rivas, MPH has extensive work experience in the field of healthcare education. Rochelle began their career in 2004 at Maricopa Community Colleges as an Office Coordinator for Advisement and Recruitment. Rochelle then served as a Student Service Tech and later as a Student Service Specialist, where they worked with the Bilingual Nursing Fellowship Program and provided academic advisement and financial aid assistance to students. In 2014, they were promoted to the role of Office Coordinator for Health Care Education and in 2015, they became the Director of Community Partnerships for Healthcare Education. Most recently, Rochelle held the position of District Director of Healthcare Education, where they oversaw the management and operation of the Health Care Education Office and collaborated with the workforce development department. Rochelle also conducted research on health policy changes and facilitated district committees related to health policy trends. Prior to joining Maricopa Community Colleges, Rochelle worked as a Bank Teller at Wells Fargo from 2001 to 2004.

Rochelle Rivas, MPH obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from the University of Arizona in the years 2000 to 2004. Following that, they pursued their Masters of Public Health degree in Public Health from Grand Canyon University during the period of 2011 to 2013.
