Art Fairbanks

Art Fairbanks serves as the Deputy Director for Maricopa County since October 2022 and has been with the City of Phoenix since July 2007, where the role of Assistant Public Works Director involves managing maintenance, planning, and coordination for 1,802 structures across 1,106 locations, encompassing 31 million occupied square feet. Leadership capabilities include overseeing a staff of 125 and implementing over 100 annual Capital Projects with a budget of $32 million. Previously, Art Fairbanks provided critical leadership to enhance City facilities as Assistant to the Phoenix City Manager and directed significant projects such as the $590 million Terminal Modernization project at Phoenix Sky Harbor. Additional experience includes roles as Airport Manager for both Phoenix Deer Valley and Goodyear Airports, and Management Assistant, along with a background in the Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County as the Facilities Director. Academic qualifications include an MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.
