Carmen Batista

Carmen Batista is an experienced public health professional currently serving as Division Administrator for the Health Outreach, Partnerships & Equity (HOPE) Division at Maricopa County Department of Public Health since July 2019. In this role, Carmen administers various teams focused on HIV services, mental health, community health assessment, nutrition, and climate issues. Prior experience includes leading the Ryan White Part A Program and managing chronic disease initiatives at the Arizona Department of Health Services. Key achievements throughout Carmen's career include significant reductions in client paperwork, on-boarding times for grant sub-recipients, linkage to care times, and contributing to comprehensive plans to eliminate HIV. Carmen holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the same institution.
