Charles Benaza

Charles Benaza, Esq., LLM, is an experienced attorney currently serving as an Attorney for Maricopa County since August 2024. Previously, Charles held the position of Associate Attorney at Matthew Lopez Law, PLLC from December 2023 to June 2024, and served as a Deputy County Attorney at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office from August 2022 to November 2023, as well as at the Pima County Attorney's Office from May 2021 to May 2022. Charles began legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk for Pima County and has also gained experience as a Summer Law Clerk with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. Educational achievements include a Master of Laws (LLM) and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona, along with prior studies at Whittier Law School. Before entering the legal field, Charles served in various leadership roles in the US Army and worked in media as a Broadcast Assistant.
