Shelby Scharbach

Shelby Scharbach is an experienced financial and administrative leader with a career spanning over three decades in public service. As the Executive Director of the Maricopa County Industrial Development Authority since 2008, Shelby has demonstrated expertise in managing complex financial operations. Prior to this role, Shelby served as Chief Financial Officer and Assistant County Manager for Maricopa County from 1993 to 2008 and held the position of Finance Director. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Auditor at the Arizona State Auditor General's Office from 1988 to 1993. Shelby holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Western International University.
