Tsatsral, a trained pharmacist, has 15 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. She started as a supervisor of a small manufacturing site and later became the Deputy Director of the Drug Research Institute. Her biggest achievement was the development of Mongolia's first GMP certified solid dose manufacturing site, with investment from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. Tsatsral holds more than 10 patents for newly developed medicinal products in Mongolia.
Later Tsatsral became the Deputy Director of Milk JSC, the market leader in milk processing for Mongolia. There she led the team to implement the Quality Management System enabling the company to be successfully certified by the international body SAI Global, a risk management and standards compliance organisation. While at Milk JSC, Tsatsral gained experience in fast moving goods sales selling 150-200 tons of milk and milk products per day to more than 2,000 shops nationwide.
For the last six years, Tsatsral has been advising the MoH in Mongolia on strengthening their medicines regulation and procurement for public hospitals. This has involved revising and upgrading the national GMP regulations to be in line with WHO guidelines and supporting medicines regulators, inspectors, and local manufacturers to strengthen GMP implementation. Tsatsral has also developed a pooled procurement system with the purpose to lower prices, while ensuring the quality of medicines is maintained. The system has been piloted by the Mongolian government for 17 medicines this year.
She loves reading and is particularly fond of ancient Chinese classics. She speaks Mongolian, Russian, Bulgarian and English.
