Dave D'Oyen is currently an advisor at Marigold Capital. Dave has a long history of working in leadership positions for various companies. Most recently, Dave worked as a Civic Participation Pilot for Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC). In this role, Dave was responsible for identifying challenges at the community, regional, national and global levels and gaining knowledge in areas such as project design and management, applying for and managing funds, and marketing and fundraising.
Before their work with ESDC, Dave also worked as a Leading Social Justice Fellow for the School of Cities at the University of Toronto. In this role, Dave assisted with the development of the Multi-Year Workforce Diversity Plan, prepared the biennial Achievements Report to document best practices and inform strategic plans by City divisions to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, human rights and accessibility, drafted operating guidelines for the City’s employee networks to create a governance structure and ensure alignment with the City’s diversity and inclusion strategic priorities, and provided subject matter expertise for diversity and equity-related training and committees.
Dave's experience in leadership positions has given him a wealth of knowledge in areas such as project design and management, fundraising, marketing, and diversity and inclusion. These skills have made Dave an invaluable asset to Marigold Capital.
Dave D'Oyen holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from McGill University in Industrial Relations (major), Marketing and German Language (minors). Dave also holds an Associate degree in Natural Sciences from Campion College. Dave D'Oyen is a Doctor of Law - JD from Lincoln Alexander School of Law. Dave is certified from the Crisis Prevention Institute in the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program.
