Henrika Toivanen

Project Lead, Creative Brand Projects at Marimekko

Henrika Toivanen has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Henrika started their career at McDonald's as a Shift Manager and later worked as a Sales Assistant at G-Star Raw. Henrika then joined MKTG Finland as a Project Coordinator and eventually became a Project Manager in the Sales & Account team. In addition, they were part of the social media and marketing team at MKTG Finland, where they were involved in developing social media plans and creating content. Henrika also worked as a Producer at MKTG Finland for two years.

In 2020, they joined Marimekko as a Creative Marketing Project Specialist, where they managed creative brand marketing projects and collaborated with design and marketing teams. Currently, they hold the position of Project Lead, Creative Brand Projects at Marimekko, where they lead various creative brand projects, manages budgets, handles global brand collaborations, and develops and implements brand collaboration strategy. Henrika'sroles at Marimekko have included project and production lead, change and project management, and development initiatives. Overall, Henrika has demonstrated a strong skill set in project management, brand marketing, collaboration, and team coordination throughout their career.

Henrika Toivanen completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Laurea University of Applied Sciences in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business management with Economics from Edinburgh Napier University between 2007 and 2010. In 2013-2014, Henrika pursued Communication and Media Studies (online) at the Open University, University of Helsinki. Most recently, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Communication Management from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in 2018.
