Max Pagels

Max Pagels has a strong work experience in the technology industry. Max has served as the Head of Technology at Marimekko since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Thoughtworks as the Head of Technology, Finland, where they were responsible for country-level technology strategy and data science offering development. Max also worked as a Machine Learning Partner at Fourkind, where they focused on machine learning with a business focus. Before that, Max held multiple roles at SC5, including Data Science Specialist and Senior Developer, where they worked on machine learning, cloud-native design, and full-stack web application development. Max also has research experience from their time as a Research Assistant at the University of Helsinki, where they worked on various projects related to high-performing software teams, cloud technologies, and data analytics. Max's expertise lies in mathematical optimization, machine learning, data science, and software engineering.

Max Pagels obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science at the University of Helsinki from 2006 to 2010. Max completed the Finnish matriculation examination (upper secondary school) at Gymnasiet Grankulla samskola from 2003 to 2005. Max also attended various schools in Finland and the United Kingdom during their early education years. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification as a Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer from Google in March 2023.
