Andrew Voorhis

Andrew Voorhis is a seasoned professional in veterinary medicine and bioinformatics with an extensive career spanning from June 1998 to the present. Currently, Andrew holds a part-time veterinarian position at the National Marine Life Center since June 2015, serving as a backup veterinarian and assisting healthcare personnel in urgent situations. Additionally, Andrew has worked as a bioinformaticist at the Marine Biological Laboratory since November 2008. Prior experience includes serving as an associate veterinarian at Blue Sky Veterinary Clinic until August 2009. Andrew earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University (1988-1991) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Oceanography from the University of Washington (1980-1983), completing initial studies at the University of Vermont (1976-1978).
