Dana Mills has a strong background in communications and fundraising. Dana started their career at Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation as a Development Assistant, where they supported the fundraising team. Dana then moved on to become an Advancement Specialist, managing events and meetings for VIP constituencies. As a Communications Manager, Dana helped launch the Foundation's first digital initiative and led their social media presence. Dana eventually became the Director of Communications, overseeing brand development and large-scale campaign communications. Prior to their work at Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, Dana worked as an Administrative Assistant at SIA Group-Insurance & Bonds, where they assisted a team of client relationship specialists.
Dana Mills obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, which they attended from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they studied Psychology at Boston University from 2007 to 2009, although they did not obtain a degree from that institution. Additionally, Dana completed the Principles and Technique of Fundraising Certificate Course at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, where they enrolled sometime before 2014.
