Shannon Quinn is an experienced advancement professional currently serving as the Advancement Coordinator at the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation since March 2022, having previously held the position of Advancement Assistant. Prior experience includes serving as a Program Specialist at Child Care Aware of America from May 2018 to March 2022, and as an Events Assistant at the Marine Corps Association & Foundation, where Shannon also gained editorial experience during the production of Leatherneck Magazine's 100th anniversary. Shannon Quinn holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Radford University, where coursework was completed between 2014 and 2017, and has additional educational experience from Richmond, The American International University in London.
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation is the Nation's oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships to military children. The Scholarship Foundation provides funding for post-high school education to all qualified children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen in need. Scholarship recipients are children of honorably discharged, retired, and active-duty Marines, and particular attention is given to those whose parent has been wounded or killed in action. Since its inception in 1962, the Scholarship Foundation has awarded more than 50,000 scholarships, worth upwards of $185,000,000, to the children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen. In the current academic year, the Scholarship Foundation awarded $10,000,000 to 2,600 children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen.
