Kok-Wah Chee

Kok-Wah Chee has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Kok-Wah is currently a Managing Director at Mariner Investment Group, LLC since March 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Partner and Head of Investor Relations at Shrewsbury River Capital LP from June 2017 to December 2021. From March 2012 to April 2017, they worked as a Managing Director of Business Development at Alden Global Capital. Kok-Wah also held the position of Director of Marketing and Investor Relations at Altima Partners from September 2007 to March 2012. Before that, they worked as a Director of Business Development at Fulcrum Investment Group LLC from March 2003 to August 2007. Kok-Wah started their career as an Assistant Director of Business Development and Marketing at Promethean Investment Group from March 2002 to March 2003. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Vice President in the Global Fixed Income Group at Eaton Vance from January 1998 to February 2002. Kok-Wah began their career as an Economist at IHS Markit (then Standard & Poor's DRI) in September 1996. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Manager at UNUM (then Textron Financial) from June 1989 to August 1996.

Kok-Wah Chee completed their high school education at Penang Free School from 1978 to 1984. Kok-Wah then pursued a bachelor's degree in Economics and Mathematics at Clark University from 1985 to 1989. During their undergraduate studies, they also attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a year, from 1987 to 1988, where they studied Economics and Mathematics at a graduate level.
