Paul Bunning

Paul Bunning, CPA, has extensive experience in financial management, currently serving in the Controller's Group at Mariner Investment Group since October 2006. Prior to this role, Paul worked as Vice President of Finance at Geneve Corporation from May 1998 to October 2006, overseeing all financial reporting for a diversified financial holding company with both private and SEC-registered subsidiaries. This included responsibilities for budgeting, quarterly reporting, and the completion of annual audits for SEC registrants, as well as managing annual STAT and GAAP financial statements. Earlier in Paul's career, experience as a Senior Accountant at KPMG from 1996 to 1998 provided a strong foundation in accounting practices. Paul holds an MBA from the University at Buffalo School of Management, attained between 1994 and 1996, and also has a degree from SUNY Geneseo.
