David Barnes

David provides directional leadership to the Mariner Wealth Advisors’ Bloomfield Hills, Michigan office.

Prior to joining Mariner Wealth Advisors, David was the president of Heber Fuger Wendin Inc. Prior to that, he was the director of employee and labor relations for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network and the HR manager at TRW Automotive.

David has a bachelor’s degree in humanities pre-law from Michigan State University and a J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law.
