Dimitris Lekkas

Dimitris Lekkas has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dimitris founded MarineTraffic in 2007 and continues to be involved in the company. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor of Information Technology at the University of the Aegean from 1997 to 2014. Dimitris also worked as a Consultant in Information Security, Applied Cryptography, and PKI from 1997 to 2011. Additionally, they held the position of SEP at Hellenic Open University from 2005 to 2012. Dimitris briefly worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Athens University of Economics and Business in 2003. In the early stages of their career, they served as an IT Manager at Intermed Overseas S.A. from 1994 to 1997.
