Michael Wakin

Michael Wakin has extensive work experience in the field of systems administration and engineering. Michael started their career at Navis\Cargotec in 2004, where they supported 75 VMware ESXi servers and VCenter. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at RelayHealth, where their role included datacenter administration on Dell and Cisco UCS platforms, as well as VMware support. In 2017, they joined Nephila Advisors LLC as a System Engineer. Later that year, they moved to UCSF Medical Center, where they worked as a System Engineer and Systems Engineer, supporting the Windows/Linux/VMware environment. Currently, they are working as a Systems Administrator at Marin General Hospital.

Michael Wakin attended Napa Valley College from 1983 to 1987, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Accounting. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications from VMware, including VCP-NSX 6.2 in October 2018, Vmware Certified Professional VCP-DCV versions 3, 4, 5, 6 in December 2016, vCloud Director VCP-VCD in March 2015, and VCP-VSAN 6.7 in October 2020. Michael also holds a certification for VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV), although the date of their certification is unknown.
