Corey Dea

Corey Dea serves as the Partnership Liaison at Marion County Public Health Department since May 2022, focusing on childhood lead poisoning prevention and asthma care by fostering community partnerships. Previously, as a Consumer Product Safety Specialist, Corey engaged with families regarding lead safety and inspected retail outlets for hazardous products. Corey is pursuing a Master of Public Health in Global and Environmental Health at Indiana University Indianapolis, holding a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies and Biology from Butler University.

Marion County Public Health Department

MCPHD has served the residents and visitors of Marion County, Indiana for nearly 100 years. The area that MCPHD covers includes the City of Indianapolis, Beech Grove, Lawrence, Speedway, and Southport. The mission of the department is to promote physical, mental, and environmental health, prevent and protect against disease, injury, and disability. The health department operates two service bureaus: the Bureau of Environmental Health (BEH), the Bureau of Population Health (BPH) and Public Health Administration.
