Rajiv Singal MD, FRCSC has extensive experience in the medical field. From 1996 to 2002, they worked at Michael Garron Hospital (formerly Toronto East General Hospital), where they held the positions of Surgeon in Chief, Lead of the Surgical Robotics Program, Urological Surgeon, Board Member of the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation, Chair of the Laser Safety Committee, Chair of the Infection Control Committee, Head of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, and Board Member and Medical Staff Association Executive. In 2002, they joined the University of Toronto as an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Urology Lead of the Global Surgery Program, Fellowship Supervisor in Endourology and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, and Lecturer in the Department of Surgery. In 2007, they became the Director of Urology at Medcan, and in 2013 they began contributing to the BJU International @BJUI blogs. In 2016, they joined the Courtesy Surgical Staff at Timmins and District Hospital/L'Hôpital de Timmins et du district, and the Courtesy Staff in the Department of Surgery at The Scarborough Hospital. In 2014, they became a Board Member of Dignitas International, and in 2017 they became Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Marion Surgical and Medical Advisor of Endoluxe.

Rajiv Singal MD, FRCSC obtained their High School Diploma from Timmins High and Vocational School in 1984. Rajiv then attended the University of Toronto - University College from 1984 to 1986, studying in the Faculty of Arts and Science. In 1986, they earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine. Following this, they completed a Surgical Internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in the University of Toronto from 1990 to 1991. Rajiv Singal MD, FRCSC then completed a Urology Residency Program in the Department of Surgery (Gallie Program) at the University of Toronto from 1991 to 1995 and earned their FRCSC. Finally, they completed a Fellowship in Endourology and Shock Wave Lithotripsy at St Joseph's Hospital, with Supervisor Dr John Denstedt, from 1995 to 1996.
