Ben Wagner

Ben Wagner is currently an advisor at Mariposa Technology, Inc. Previously, they worked as the CFO at Sarasota Yacht Club from January 2012 to March 2020. Ben was responsible for overseeing several aspects of the club's operation, including the management of all employees within the accounting, IT, HR, facilities, risk management, and administrative departments. Ben also used zero based budgeting procedures and forecast models for 1 and 5 year planning, and executed daily and MTD profit reports to improve predictability and budget compliance. During their time at Sarasota Yacht Club, they also assisted in refinancing a $15 million senior credit facility and subordinated bonds, which saved the Club $400,000 annually. In addition, they initiated an employee appreciation program including an employee of the month program, developed an on-boarding program, and updated the employee hand book to meet all current regulations. Ben also revised retirement and benefit plans to increase employee retention as well as lower overall labor costs while addressing the issues of the Affordable Care Act. Finally, they overhauled Jonas Club Management ERP system revising COA, member classifications and data base extraction techniques to enhance target marketing efforts.

Ben Wagner's educational career includes a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Columbia College.
