Bailey Lovett

Bailey Lovett is a seasoned marine science professional currently serving as a Search & Rescue Officer at Maritime New Zealand since April 2025. Previously, Bailey held the position of Marine Biosecurity Scientist at Cawthron Institute from May 2022 to July 2025 and worked as an Aquaculture Analyst at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) from February 2021 to April 2022. Additional experience includes roles as a Social Media Manager at Troy Goodall Photography and Head Coach at Epsom Strength, both from February 2019 to February 2021, along with coaching duties at Propolis Fitness Collective from August 2015 to February 2021. Bailey also contributed as a judge for the Prime Minister's Future Scientist Prize from November 2016 to November 2020 and engaged in research as a PhD Candidate at The University of Auckland from April 2015 to July 2020, focusing on spinal curvature in farmed New Zealand king salmon.
