Dave Whiteridge has extensive work experience, with their most recent position as the Chief Legal Counsel at Maritime New Zealand since March 2019. Prior to this role, they served as the Chief Legal Counsel at NZ Transport Agency for over 12 years. Dave also worked as a Corporate Counsel at Transpower from 2003 to 2006. Dave began their legal career as an Associate at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts and later at Baker & McKenzie. Dave worked as a Solicitor at Bell Gully and was also a Tutor at Victoria University of Wellington.
Dave Whiteridge attended Victoria University of Wellington from 1990 to 1996. During this time, they obtained a Master's Degree in Law, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government.
