Kathy Compton

Kathy Compton currently serves as the Manager of Harm Prevention and Engagement at Maritime New Zealand, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Kathy spent nearly a decade at Te Hiringa Hauora/Health Promotion Agency, progressing through various marketing positions, including Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Advisor, from July 2013 to October 2022. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Marketing & Communications Advisor at the Ministry for Primary Industries, where management of social marketing programs was a key responsibility. Kathy's marketing career began at AA Life as a Marketing Specialist, with previous positions at Training Solutions Plus and TNS Research. Kathy holds a Diploma of Business with a major in Marketing and Tourism from the Universal College of Learning, earned between 1998 and 2000.
