Natasha Weight

Natasha Weight is an experienced professional in regulatory practice and compliance, currently serving as the General Manager Regulatory Practice, Licensing and Notifications at Maritime New Zealand since November 2022. Previously, Natasha held various senior roles at the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ) from July 2012 to October 2022, including General Manager of Ngā Ratonga Kaupapa Atawhai Charities Services and Manager of Financial Integrity. Natasha has also worked as a Senior Advisor at the Department of Corrections and held multiple positions at the Department of Internal Affairs prior to that, focusing on policy advising and compliance. Earlier in career, Natasha practiced as a lawyer at Ngāi Tahu Māori Law Centre. Education includes a Master of Public Management from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Laws alongside a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Otago. Natasha has also completed a course at the Institute of Directors in New Zealand in 2020.
