Sophia Lay

Sophia Lay is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Finance Business Partner at Maritime New Zealand since May 2021. Prior to this role, Sophia held various positions at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand as a Senior Management Accountant from October 2016 to May 2021 and at Inland Revenue NZ from December 2010 to October 2016, where responsibilities included advising on active projects, business partnering, and financial accounting. Sophia also has experience as an Accounting Tutor and Marker at Victoria University of Wellington in 2010 and as a Financial Information Officer at the Charities Commission.
