Candice Walker

Candice Walker, CPCU, has extensive experience in the insurance industry, currently serving as Sr. Director of 1st party lead for the West Region at Markel since May 2015. Walker's previous roles at Markel include Director of Underwriting & Production, Underwriting Manager, Associate Underwriting Manager, and Senior Underwriter, focusing on Environmental & Energy Casualty. Prior to Markel, Walker worked at AIG from January 2010 to June 2015 as a Senior Property Underwriter, specializing in Energy and Engineered Risk Property for the Dallas and Houston regions. Walker's experience also includes a position as a Senior Underwriter at Liberty Mutual Insurance (2006-2010) and as an Underwriter at The Hartford (2003-2006). Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Insurance Management from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Oklahoma, alongside the CPCU designation from the Insurance Institute of America.
