George McFadden

George McFadden is an experienced data services leader currently serving as Senior Director of Data Services at Markel since July 2017, where George has led a technology and delivery transformation, advocating for a modern data architecture utilizing Azure Synapse. Prior to Markel, George held various roles at Capital One from 2000 to 2017, including Director of US Card Business Architecture, where strategic direction was provided to over 1000 associates, and Director of Data Architecture, overseeing enterprise-wide data strategy. George began a career in IT as a Systems Analyst at Mobil Oil Corporation and has also made significant contributions as a Data Warehouse Architect at Heilig Meyers Furniture. George earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from William & Mary.
