Martyn Green

Martyn Green has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Martyn is currently working as the Chief Actuary at Markerstudy Insurance since March 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of UK Personal Product and Pricing Director at RSA from December 2016 to March 2021.

Martyn's previous roles include working as the Pricing Director at BGL Group from February 2010 to November 2016, where they were responsible for customer pricing and implemented innovative projects that generated significant benefits. Martyn also served as the Chief Actuary at Lloyds TSB Insurance from April 2002 to October 2009, leading various functions such as pricing, reserving, capital modeling, and underwriting.

Before joining Lloyds TSB Insurance, Martyn worked as a Personal Lines Actuary at Marks and Spencer Financial Services from April 2000 to April 2002, where they provided actuarial input for the launch of home insurance products and was responsible for departmental management information. Additionally, they gained experience as a Personal Lines Actuary at Axa Direct from September 1995 to April 2000, where they developed the role into a Pricing Manager position and implemented Optimised Lifetime Value pricing methodology.

Martyn Green pursued their education in a disciplined manner, starting with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Oxford, which they completed from 1987 to 1990. Martyn further expanded their knowledge by studying at the Institute of Actuaries from 1990 to 1996, achieving a Fellowship in Actuarial studies.
