Balázs Báthory

Balázs Báthory has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and industries. Balázs began their career as a Sales and Trading Specialist at Országos Kereskedelmi és Hitelbank in 1990, where they focused on equity and fixed income trading and organized front, middle, and back office activities. Balázs then moved on to CA-IB, where they served as Director, Head of Equity Sales and Trading, achieving the top position in equity trading on the Budapest Stock Exchange. At CA-IB London, they were responsible for trading activities in Central and Eastern European countries.

In 1999, Báthory joined OTP Securities as Deputy CEO, overseeing sales, trading, and research activities for fixed income, equities, and derivatives. Following this, they became the CEO of Webigen Zrt., where they established the company in the IT sector and structured contracts with major clients such as the Prime Minister's Office, MOL, and Graboplast.

From 2000 to 2008, Báthory held the role of Deputy CEO at WING Real Estate Development, managing a subsidiary portfolio and focusing on restructuring and business development. Notable projects included the Corvinus University Campus PPP, the new headquarters of MTV, and the new headquarters of VPOP.

In 2008, Báthory became the Owner and Managing Director of 2B Partners, where they provided independent project advisory services, specializing in PPPs, facility management, strategic consultancy, and asset management for clients such as Budapest Airport and the City of Budapest.

Báthory joined MOL Group in 2012, initially serving as the Head of Downstream Business Development, responsible for regional business development, acquisitions, and divestments across Europe. Balázs then took on the role of Director of the MOL Campus Project, leading the business development and concept design of the new headquarters building project. Finally, they became the Director of Group SEP Management, creating and running a program to unlock growth potential in non-commodity activities within MOL and increasing business ownership and decision-making authority for relevant managers.

Most recently, Báthory became the Deputy CEO of Market Építő Zrt. in 2019.

Balázs Báthory started their education in 1974 at the Szilágyi Erzsébet Általános Iskola in Veszprém, where they studied until 1982. From 1982 to 1986, they attended VSZK, focusing on Restaurant and Hotel Management. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, specializing in Commerce and Catering Trade, at the Kereskedelmi és Vendéglátóipari Főiskola from 1986 to 1990.
