Chris Carter has a diverse work experience in various roles within the chaplaincy and pastoral fields. From 1993 to 2000, they served as the Director of Junior High Ministry at Faith Community Church, engaging and encouraging junior high students, parents, and staff in their spiritual journeys. Chris then moved on to Calvary Baptist Church, where they worked as a Pastor to Students from 2000 to 2011, shepherding students towards a life fully devoted to Jesus. In 2011, Chris joined Northpointe Community Church as the Student Life Pastor until 2015, and then transitioned to the role of Pastor of Connections, serving in that capacity until 2023. Alongside their church roles, Chris also worked as a Chaplain for the Police and Fire Departments of DeWitt Charter Township since 2013, providing support, resources, and leading critical incident stress debriefings. In 2022, they became a Company Chaplain at Marketplace Chaplains, before being promoted to Director of Operations in 2023. Throughout their career, Chris has consistently demonstrated a commitment to spiritual support, mentoring, and fostering mental health.
Chris Carter obtained a BA degree in Youth Ministry/Christian Ed from The Master's University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Chris later pursued an MA in Religion and an MA in Religious Education from Liberty University, where they studied from 2007 to 2009.
