Marcus Galamay has over 7 years of professional experience. In 2016, they began their career at Marketplace by APM as Project Lead and Office Manager, where they streamlined initiatives with editorial executives and cross-functional teams, building video infrastructure. Marcus also lead brainstorming and strategy conversations with content leads to enhance production to include video and interactive news media. In addition, they acted as Executive Assistant, supporting the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Director of Business Operations.

In 2018, Marcus Galamay began working for Minds Matter as Director of Events. In this role, they volunteered to the President and Director of Development and Donor Engagement in the organization in managing special events for the students, volunteers and donors.

From 2014 to 2016, Marcus Galamay worked for California State University, Los Angeles as Program Director for Golden Eagle Radio. In this role, they collaborated with Cal State LA administration staff to build the logic for a scaled radio platform and business plan for sustainable revenue. Marcus also managed college radio staff, 24-hour production schedules and daily operations, as well as supervised 10 student-produced shows to ensure it met production deadlines and content requirements.

Finally, from 2013 to 2014, Marcus Galamay worked for IERF as Executive Assistant. In this role, they coordinated brand exhibition at education conferences resulting in new business partnerships and media attention. Marcus also managed university partnerships and was the main point of contact for university executives to ensure their faculty received equivalency reports for employment. Marcus also coordinated travel including air and hotel arrangements, ground transportation, meeting preparation, and other duties as assigned.

Marcus Galamay attended Pittsburg Senior High School, where they received their Diploma. Marcus then transferred to Clark Atlanta University in 2006 and completed their studies in 2008 in Radio, Television, and Digital Communication. Finally, they attended California State University, Los Angeles from 2013 to 2015, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication and Media Studies.
