Susan Gerlach, AICP, is an experienced environmental scientist currently employed at Markosky Engineering since October 2019. Prior to this role, Susan served as an environmental planner at HDR, where responsibilities included managing datasets for transportation planning projects and preparing environmental assessments in compliance with NEPA/SEPA policies. Previous positions include hydrologic data analyst for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, where Susan aided habitat objectives through data management and technical reporting, and an environmental health and safety intern at Kennametal. Additional experience encompasses positions with American Rivers, Duke University, the National Park Service, and Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Susan holds a Master's degree in Environmental Management from Duke University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Environmental Resource Management and Environmental Science from Penn State University.
