Judy Gross has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Judy began their career in 2000 as a Reading Specialist at PS 6 under the NYC Department of Education. In 2007, they joined the NYC Department of Education again, but this time as the Coordinator of Academic Intervention Services at PS 75. Judy held this role until 2011. In 2000, they also worked as the Director of Literacy and Math Programs at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan.

Judy Gross holds a Master's Degree in Applied Educational Psychology with a certification as a Reading Specialist from Teachers College, Columbia University, which they completed from 1998 to 2000. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Barnard College, where they studied from 1974 to 1978. In addition, they pursued a Doctor of Law - JD degree at Fordham University School of Law from 1979 to 1982. The field of study for their JD degree was not specified.
