Melissa Donovan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Melissa started their career in 1999 at USA Networks, where they were a part of the Strategic Planning Group. In 2000, they joined Miramax, where they worked in PR & Publicity until 2003. From 2003 to 2010, Melissa worked at JCC Manhattan, starting as an Operations Coordinator and later taking on roles such as Director of Programs and Events for 20s & 30s, Director of Membership & Registration, and Senior Director of Strategy, Membership & Program Operations. Since 2010, they have been the Chief Operating Officer for Health and Wellness at Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan.

Melissa Donovan holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English and Theatre Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. Melissa also pursued a Fellowship in Organizational Leadership at Columbia | SIPA. To further their education, Melissa completed a program in Executive Education for Organizational Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. Additionally, they obtained a Certificate in Nonprofit Professional Leadership from UJA-Federation of New York, although the specific date of completion is not mentioned.
