Darryl J. Henson

Darryl J. Henson, Ed.D., currently serves as the Superintendent for Marlin Independent School District since May 2020. Prior experience includes a role as Professor of Practice at Baylor University from June 2022 to July 2024, and as Assistant Superintendent of School Leadership at Cedar Hill Independent School District from June 2018 to May 2020. Additional leadership positions encompass High School Principal at both Houston Independent School District and Ysleta Independent School District, as well as Elementary Principal at Lockhart Independent School District. Prior roles also included Academy Principal at Houston ISD, Special Education Teacher, and Mathematics Lead Teacher at Pflugerville ISD. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from The University of Texas at Austin.
