Charles Carmakal is the Chief Technology Officer at Mandiant, now part of Google Cloud, since November 2011. In addition, Charles serves as a Lecturer at Columbia University starting September 2023. Engagements on advisory boards include roles at Marlinspike, Strider Technologies, mePrism, Claroty, and previously Illusive Networks and ObserveIT, both acquired by Proofpoint. Charles has extensive experience, having held the position of Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers from June 2003 to September 2011. Charles holds a BA and MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Florida.
