T.j. Thomas

Theodore J. Thomas is an accomplished Industrial Design Manager at Marmon Foodservice Technologies since August 2023, focusing on sustainable growth and innovation in Industrial Design, User Experience, and User Interface across the company's brand portfolio. As the Principal Designer and Founder of Studio Murmur, initiated in March 2010, Theodore provides a wide range of services in research, strategy, industrial design, and product development for various industries. Previous experience includes serving as Principal Industrial Designer at Steelcase, where Theodore contributed to industrial design and new product development while mentoring junior designers. Additional roles include adjunct faculty positions at The Art Institute of Chicago and University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as a designer at Michael Graves Architecture & Design. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Industrial Design from San Francisco State University.
