Ramsés Alejandro Becerra Vega

Ram Samudrala serves as a Professor and Division Chief at the University at Buffalo since October 2014, specializing in computational biology, genomics, and proteomics. Research focuses on understanding and simulating the processes that dictate protein, small molecule, nucleic acid, and interactome structure and function, ultimately linking genomic information to organismal behavior and environmental interaction. Prior to this role, Ram held positions as an Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Washington from January 2001 to October 2014. Educational qualifications include a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Biology from Stanford University, a PhD in Computational Biology from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's degree in Computing Science and Genetics from Ohio Wesleyan University.
