Sai Pavan Kumar Kona

Sai Pavan Kumar Kona has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sai Pavan Kumar started their career as an Engineering Trainee at BHEL in 2011. Sai Pavan Kumar then interned at Vijai Electricals Limited, Hyderabad.

In 2014, Sai joined Northern Illinois University as a Graduate Research Assistant and served as the Project Leader of the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) initiative. Sai Pavan Kumar also worked as a Graduate Assistant during their time at the university.

From 2015 to 2016, Sai worked as an Industrial Engineer at IET, Inc., where they were responsible for documentation, process validation, and implementing 5s for General Motors projects.

In 2016, Sai joined IEE Sensing as a System Engineer, where they led the development of Seat Belt Reminder Sensor and Seat Heaters. Sai Pavan Kumar successfully launched four programs to production during their time with the company and also supported European projects at IEE Luxembourg for two months.

Currently, Sai is working at Marquardt Switches, Inc. North America as a Senior Systems Engineer (Technical Project Lead). Their main responsibilities include developing Human Machine Interface (HMI) products and Entry Authorization Systems (EAS) and coordinating various engineering functions.

Sai Pavan Kumar Kona completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Northern Illinois University in 2014-2015. In the same year, they also pursued a Masters degree in Logistics & Operations Management from ENAE Business School. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Energy Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology between 2009-2013. Additionally, Sai Pavan Kumar Kona acquired certifications in "Fundamentals of GD&T" from Effective Training Inc., an SAE International Company in February 2017, and in "VIA, Productivity improvement through Time Study" from IET, Inc. in June 2015.
