Adnan Smajlovic

Adnan Smajlovic started their work experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Arcline Software Inc., where they developed a third-party warehousing system. Adnan then moved to CIBC as an Advisory Systems Developer, focusing on mortgage advancing systems. Later, they joined Thane International, Inc. as VP eCommerce and CTO, leading IT and development teams. After various roles in Visr and TD, Adnan is currently active as a Director of Software Engineering at MaRS Discovery District, where they work on projects using various technologies like AWS, Serverless, and React.

Adnan Smajlovic attended Ognjen Prica Secondary School for Informatics and Computer Science from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science. Following this, from 1984 to 1988, they studied Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sarajevo. Additionally, Adnan obtained a certification in DevOps Engineering on AWS 2.0 from Amazon Web Services.
