Dottie Cimino Brown has a diverse work experience in the field of veterinary health. Dottie is currently serving as the VP Science & Healthcare Innovation at Mars Veterinary Health since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Elanco from 2017 to 2023, where they held various roles including Senior Advisor for Product Concept Generation and Senior Director for Global Efficacy & Model Development. Dottie was also involved in Companion Animal Research and Translational Comparative Medical Research. Before joining Elanco, they had an extensive tenure at the University of Pennsylvania from 1997 to 2017. During this time, they served as the Executive Director of the Veterinary Clinical Investigations Center, an Associate Scholar at the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, an Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor of Surgery, Chair of the Department of Clinical Sciences & Advanced Medicine, and Section Chief of Surgery.

Dottie Cimino Brown holds a Master's degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, which they obtained from 2003 to 2006. Prior to this, they earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine between 1988 and 1992. Dottie completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Zoology/Animal Biology at the University of Maryland from 1984 to 1988.
