Derek Veal has extensive experience in loss prevention and security management, currently serving as the Regional Security Director for the U.S. and Canada at Mars since May 2010. Previous roles include U.S. Security Manager and Loss Prevention Manager for the Mars Retail Group. Prior to Mars, Derek held the position of Senior Loss Prevention Manager at the National Basketball Association from October 2008 to April 2010, and worked as a Loss Prevention Investigator at Linens N Things. Additional experience includes serving as Loss Prevention Manager at American Girl Place and Neiman Marcus. Derek Veal studied at Hampton University from 1986 to 1988.
