Jane Newton is an experienced professional in the food science industry, currently serving as a Global Care and Treats Future Technology Senior Scientist and Program Lead-Governance at Mars since September 2006. Jane has expertise in global budget management, project governance, and coaching within the Cocoa R&D sector, along with a significant background in chocolate science and technology, where roles included the development of governance protocols and tax relief claim coordination. Prior to this, Jane worked as an Industrial Placement Student at Mars Petcare, gaining R&D experience in materials management. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Food Structure and an MSc in Applied Biomolecular Technology from the University of Nottingham, as well as a BSc in Biology from The University of Manchester.
